Great Photography
This book fits its purpose well. Interesting vignettes into the quirks of old homes ad their owners. Rich photography of homes actually lived in by families. If you don't expect too much you won't be disappointed.

The Adventures of "Indiana" Hannebaum: The King of Metamora

Another Tom Sawyer
This book is like reading Tom Sawyer by Twain, Penrod by Tarkington, and sometimes like James Thurber. It is also something like the biography of Thomas A. Edison. A website about this book can be found at: http://members.aol.com/lhchristen/index.htm

The Adventures of "Indiana" Hannebaum: The Magic Valley (Vol 2) (Living the West)

Like Huckleberry Finn
The escapades of the Hannebaum family from Indiana continue in Idaho in the 1920's. This is an original and humorous book, well worth reading. Excerpts can be found at this URL: http://members.aol.com/lhchristen/index.htm

Albion Fellows Bacon: Indiana's Municipal Housekeeper (Midwestern History and Culture Series)
Published in Hardcover by Indiana University Press (October, 2000)
Author: Robert G. Barrows
Average review score:

Well deserved credit.
It's good to see Albion Fellows Bacon get some well deserved credit and attention for her hard work during her live. Although not as famous as her older sister, Annie Fellows Johnston, Albion probably did more for the needy. Very well wrote with lots of information I never knew existed.

Beautiful and fascinating book

Attack of the Two-Ton Tomatoes (Eerie, Indiana, No 7)
Published in Paperback by Avon (February, 1998)
Author: Mike Ford
Average review score:

Man, this is good!
Man,this is good! I mean better than Goosebumps (which to be perfectly honest I don't think is any good)! Still, though I'd like to talk about how good this is I really hate it when people don't talk about the plots when they review some thing so... well it's basically about these two kids who discover that a new kind of produce is turning people into plants. If you don't read this book you don't know what you're missing!

Backroads Indiana: Discovering the People and Places of Southern Indiana

One of the great books about Indiana.
Author Wendell Trogdon captures the essence of life on the backroads of southern Indiana, far from the noise and clutter of the interstates. This is a must read for those who enjoy rural areas off the beaten paths.
